There is no single best courier. Choose by what you send, where it goes and how fast it must arrive. Prices and rules change often, so compare on the courier’s own website before you set your shipping rates.
What to check
- Tracking: required on The Kosher Shop for orders above the value shown in your dashboard. We recommend tracking on every parcel.
- Speed: next day for chilled food; two to three days is fine for most other products.
- Size and weight limits, and how the courier charges for large light boxes (volumetric weight).
- Prohibited and restricted items: every courier has a list. Food, alcohol, liquids, candles, knives and dry ice are often restricted.
- Compensation: how much the courier pays for loss or damage, and whether you need extra cover.
- Collection or drop-off: what is easier for you every day.
Common options
- United Kingdom: Royal Mail and Parcelforce, DPD, Evri, DHL, UPS, Yodel, and parcel platforms that compare them.
- European Union: the national post in your country, DHL, DPD, GLS, UPS and local carriers.
- United States: USPS, UPS and FedEx, and parcel platforms that compare them.
- From Israel: Israel Post for small parcels, and international express couriers for faster, fully tracked delivery.
We are preparing shipping partnerships for sellers on The Kosher Shop. When they are ready, you will find them here, with the services each one offers.
Setting your shipping rates
- Use your real cost plus packing materials. Do not use shipping to make a profit.
- Set a free-shipping threshold for your shop. Customers buy more to reach it, and you can find it in Settings, Shipping.
